How To Fix Credit Report Errors - OppLoans

How To Fix Credit Report Errors - OppLoans How To Fix Credit Report Errors How To Fix Credit Report ErrorsAn error on your credit report could be dragging down your credit scoreâ€"and these errors are much more common than you might think! We’ve written in the past about how important credit reports areâ€"they are the tool that lenders, businesses, and employers use to determine how “risky” you are when it comes to paying back debts, like credit cards and personal loans, on time. But did you know that there can be mistakes on your credit report? That’s right, and it may be more common than you think.According to a recent report, the most common complaints received by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which has been running its Consumer Complaint Database since 2011, are related to the three major credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Sixty-one percent of those complaints were related to credit reporting errors.According to a study by the Federal Trade Commission, an estimated one in five consumers has an error on at least one of their three major credit reports. Why is this an issue? Errors can impact your hard-earned credit score. You need a certain level of credit in order to get the best financing when it comes time to borrow money. Without good credit, your only options may be bad credit loans, no credit check loans, title loans, or payday loans (otherwise known as cash advances). All of these leave you at risk of predatory lending, debt traps, and sinking your credit even further. Credit reporting errors can have an even bigger impact on those who are just starting to build their credit or those with poor credit who are working to improve it.Luckily, there are ways to fix errors on your credit report. Here’s what to look for and what to do.Step 1: Check Your Credit ReportAs we’ve discussed on the blog in the past, you can check your three credit reports from the major credit reporting agencies for free once a year. All you have to do is go to AnnualCreditReport.com.You can choose to view all three at once or spread them out over the whole year. Just remember to note when you check your report, so you know when you can look again next year! As long as you look at each one only once a year, it does not impact your credit score. It’s also important to realize that each credit reporting agency does things slightly differently. It’s not unusual to see slightly different information, and it’s possible to have an error on one report and have everything shipshape on the other two. That’s why it pays to view all three!Step 2: Understand What a Credit Report Error Looks LikeWhat exactly is a credit report error anyway? According to Patricia Russell, a CFP at FinancialMarvel, a credit report error is “anything thats inaccurate.” This can be something as simple as misspelling or name or listing an incorrect home address to something more serious, such as an inaccurate hard check on your reportâ€"something that can negatively impact your credit score.According to the Federal Trade Commission study, one in four people have an error on one of their reports that could impact their credit score. When looking at your credit report, make sure to read everything very carefully. Make sure your name and all parts of your address and identifying information are correct. Verify that all of the open and closed accounts are correct and that the balances and payment histories add up.Review all of your hard credit checksâ€"you’ll see on the report, for example, if you’ve recently applied for an auto loan, credit card, phone plan, etc.â€"and verify that you recognize each one.If something looks unfamiliar, do a little research. Sometimes accounts, retail credit cards, for example, are listed by the name of a parent company, which may seem unfamiliar if your card is for a specific store. If something doesn’t add up, make a note of it.According to Russell, the most common mistakes include “credit card balances that are wrong, the reporting of any acco unt in an incorrect manner, and information for other people with the same name as you.” She notes that inaccurate information can also pop up “if someones social security number is close to yours.”But errors can also indicate that someone is trying to steal your identity or commit fraudâ€"another reason it’s important to check your report regularly. “Keep in mind that many people who have had their identity stolen have incorrect information on their credit report as well,” says Russell.Step 3: Alert the Reporting Agency of the ErrorMike Pearson, credit expert and founder of Credit Takeoff, has a five-step process for contacting credit reporting agencies with errors:Dispute the item with the right credit bureau. An incorrect item may appear on only one credit report, but not the others. Dispute the negative item only with the credit bureau where the item appears. (You can find each bureau’s contact information on the CFPB website.)Send a letter to the credit bureau req uesting that the item be deleted. Use a free letter template from the FTC website and be sure to send it via certified mailâ€"giving you legal proof the bureau received your letter.Include lots of documentation. With your letter, attach a copy of your credit report with your disputed items highlighted, and include any supporting documentation, such as payment records or court documents.Send a letter directly to the lender. If the credit bureau won’t remove the item, send another letter to the lender explaining why the item is inaccurate or incomplete.Never admit fault! Do not admit fault or guilt in your letter! Stick to the FTC template and leave your personal “story” out of itâ€"it could end up causing you more harm than good, since admitting to a late payment, for example, could give the credit bureau all the information it needs to not remove the item.“Credit companies usually have up to complete their investigation in 30 days,” says Russell. “However, if they feel i t is a frivolous dispute they wont take the time to investigate.” If the credit reporting agency deems the dispute credible, they forward your documentation to the entity in question, which is called the “furnisher.”According to the CFPB, if either the reporting agency or the furnisher decide that the claim is frivolous and that they won’t investigate, they have to notify you within five days.If the dispute is investigated, one of two things will happen. If it’s deemed an error, the furnisher will correct the information and notify all the credit reporting agencies. If it’s deemed correct information, it will not change on your report, but you can ask that a statement explaining the decision is included in your credit file. This will be sent to anyone who checks your report in the future.According to the FTC study, four in five people who filed disputes saw some change to their credit report.A Note on Identity TheftSuspicions of identity theft are treated a little bit di fferently than regular credit report mistakes. Accents and Other Spanish Diacritical Marks

A diacritical mark, or a diacritic, is used with a  letter to indicate that it has a different pronunciation or a secondary meaning. In Spanish, there are three diacritical marks, also called diacrà ticos in Spanish,  a tilde,  an  umlaut and an accent. Diacritical Marks in English English uses diacritical marks almost solely in words of foreign origin, and they are often omitted when written in English. Examples of English words using diacritical marks are faà §ade, which uses a cedilla; rà ©sumà ©, which uses two accent marks; naà ¯ve, which uses an umlaut, and pià ±ata, which uses a tilde. Tilde in Spanish A tilde is a curved line above an  n, it is used to distinguish n from à ±. In a technical sense, this might not be considered a diacritic, since n and à ± are separate letters of the alphabet.  The mark above the letter indicates a change in pronunciation, also called a palatal  n, which means, that the sound is made by putting the tongue to the top of the mouths palate or roof of the mouth to make the sound.   There are many examples where the tilde is used in Spanish, for examples, aà ±o, meaning year;  maà ±ana, meaning tomorrow, and Espaà ±ol, meaning the language from Spain or a Spaniard. Umlaut in Spanish An  umlaut, often called a dieresis, is placed over the u when it is pronounced after a g in the combinations gà ¼e and gà ¼i. The umlaut changes the sound gu combination into a w sound that one would hear in English. Umlauts are rarer in Spanish than the other types of diacritical marks.   Some examples of umlauts in Spanish include the word for penguin, pingà ¼ino, or  averigà ¼Ãƒ ©, which means found out about or verified. Accent Marks in Spanish Accents are used as an aid in pronunciation. Many Spanish words such as  Ãƒ ¡rbol, meaning tree,  use accents to put the stress on the correct syllable. Accents are frequently used with some words such as  quà ©,  meaning what,  and  cuà ¡l, meaning which,  when they are used in questions. Spanish accents  can only be written over the five vowels,  a, e,  i, o, u, and the accent is written from lower left to upper right:  Ãƒ ¡, à ©, à , à ³, à º. Accents are also used to distinguish some sets of words that are otherwise spelled alike and pronounced alike but have different meanings or different grammatical usages, also known as Spanish homonyms. Common Spanish homonyms Accents help differentiate one homonym from another. Following is a list of common homonyms in Spanish and their meanings. The True Meaning of Marriage Essay - 577 Words

The True Meaning of Marriage When we think of marriage, the first thing that comes to mind is having a lasting relationship. Marriage is a commitment of two people to one another and to each other?s family, bonded by holy matrimony. When a couple plans to marry, they think of raising a family together, dedicating their life to each other. That?s the circle of life--our natural instinct to live and produce children and have those children demonstrate your own good morals. I have never been married; but I don?t understand why when two people get married and vow to be together for richer and poorer, better or worse, decide to just forget about that commitment. A marriage should be the most important decision a person makes in his or her†¦show more content†¦We should really learn really well who the person is that we want to marry before we end up wanting to betray someone or vice versa. Divorce affects the state of mind of those involved, whether consciously or sub-consciously. A couple seems better off working out their problems rather than getting a divorce in the long run. I also believe that this becomes like an addiction or a bad habit-- the person remarries over and over again. This seems more than just ?bad luckit is a psychological problem. It results from the way they saw their own parents in their upbringing. So, the couple that is getting divorced puts their child in the situation to learn and adopt the same ?bad habit.? It is for the children that I have the most concern, above all. The family is the strongest force behind being a successful individual. A child must learn how to treat others by watching his/her parents, and if they see their parents ?giving up,? they will give up on their own relationships more easily. I?m not saying single parenting will raise damaged children, but it is not the ideal situation to raise a child in. It?s not worth a child?s future for a husband and wife not to get along anymore. I want to just express my point that marriage should be ?death? til you partregardless of how ?inconvienient? or ?difficult? for those involved it might be. The Over Baked Marijuana Debate - 826 Words

The Over Baked Marijuana Debate Arnold Schwarzenegger once said, â€Å"That is not a drug. It’s a leaf.† The leaf he was referring to is marijuana. Skeptics view marijuana as a hazard to society and the well-being of our country’s people. Although, for others it is a solution to their disease. This kind of marijuana is medical marijuana, and it has the ability to provide relief to many, if only it was fully supported. However, there are many debates over whether or not medical marijuana should be legalized. Essentially, marijuana is a plant with leaves like any other plant (Blachford 267). What sets it apart is tetrahydrocannabinol, otherwise known as THC. This component is responsible for the psychological effects of marijuana (Gerdes 89). An initial evaluation of its usefulness earns marijuana to be classified as a schedule I drug, meaning there is no valued medical use and it’s highly abusive (Dresser web). Although, in the past, the Food and Drug Administration allowed AID patients to use it because it was their last hope (Stempsey web). Then in 1937, marijuana was made completely illegal. Illegalization of the substance was enacted by the Marijuana Tax Act, which also made marijuana for medical purposes illegal (Blachford 265). Irony within Oedipus Rex Essay Example For Students

Irony within Oedipus Rex Essay Sophocles, the playwright of Oedipus Rex, often wrote scripts for events in mythology, which were common knowledge to the populace who viewed his productions. Set in the time of the Golden Period of Greece, Sophocles, knowing that his audience is aware of the outcome of the play, utilizes that foreknowledge to create various situations in which irony plays a key role. By using irony in a play, playwrights can tantalize pre-enlightened viewers into wanting to see how the events occurring mentally affect the main character. The audience receives a large amount of irony in the first few minutes of the play. When Oedipus learns that the bringing to justice of Laius’ killer will rid the city of its plague, he sets out on a path to track down the killer. Oedipus begins cursing the killer of Laius (in reality himself), and proclaims:-â€Å"I mean to fight for him now, as I would fightThis is very ironic, as Oedipus’ father is in fact Laius: so Oedipus is fighting for his own father. Oedipus’ determination for truth and justice leads to his own downfall. He tells the city that he will avenge the murder of Laius, no matter what obstacles are placed in his way:-â€Å"There is nothing I will not do. Certain it is That by the help of God we stand – or fall.†It is this very resolve that leads to his downfall and the city’s shame. The statement is also a prophecy – in his triumph, Oedipus will fall. Oedipus also claims the killer might try and kill him next, and so by â€Å"†¦serving Laius, I serve myself.† Ironically, Oedipus feels that by finding the killer of Laius, he will be protecting himself. Of course, this is nonsense, as he is unaware that his finding of Laius’ killer will not protect him – but destroy him. In fact, the entire ideal of helping the city be rid of the curse is ironic, as it was Oedipus himself who caused the plague in the first place. The characters also create irony themselves, as is shown when Teiresias enters the stage and, reluctant to reveal what he knows, says:-â€Å"To be wise is to suffer. And why did I forget this, Who knew it well? I never should have come.†Since he knows how horrible the truth is about Oedipus’ fate, he is hesitant to reveal it. Thus, he speaks cryptic lines deliberately intended to be ironic, and cover up the truth. Teiresias also knows that Oedipus will eventually meet his downfall over this matter, and states â€Å"have you eyes, and do not see your own damnation?† Teiresias is the blind man who sees, and Oedipus is the seeing man who is blind. This is known by the audience, and Teiresias, all of who know what is going to happen at the end of the play – making it a skillful example of irony against Oedipus. Moments later Teiresias again prophesies Oedipus’ demise:-â€Å"But, as shall presently appear, a Theban born,To his cost. He that came seeing, blind shall he go;Rich now, then a beggar; stick-in-hand, groping his wayTo a land of exile; brother, it shall be shown,And father at once, to the children he cherishes; son,And husband to the woman who bore him; father-killer,The irony inherent in Teiresias’ parting shot at Oedipus is well known by the audience: Oedipus did kill his father and marry his mother. It is also ironic to note that Teiresias’ prophecy o f Oedipus’ fate is almost exactly the same as the riddle of the Sphinx – begun as a strong man, ended as a cripple. .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 , .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .postImageUrl , .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 , .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:hover , .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:visited , .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:active { border:0!important; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:active , .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6 .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uec1322380bd017f4f2a384e485f3cdd6:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Gender Communication in the Wo EssayIn Greek tragedies, oracles and prophecies are employed primarily to foreshadow events and help create ironies within the play. They are usually disregarded by the characters, or passed off as incorrect, and this is how they create irony. One example of this is Jocasta’s continual refusal to accept the prophecies. She states that â€Å"no man possesses the secret of divination†, and then proceeds to speak of the prophecy she was given regarding Oedipus as a child – unbeknownst to her, a prophecy already become true. When Jocasta learns of the death of Oedipus’ â€Å"father†, Polybus, she laughs at the prophecies, saying:-â€Å"Where are you now, divine prognostications! The man whom Oedipus has avoided all these years,Lest he should kill him – dead! By a natural death,Jocasta will not admit to herself that Polybus isnt Oedipus’ father, and instead speaks cryptic lines, to try and convince herself that she hasn’t been mothering ill-begotten children with her son. When Jocasta finally admits to herself that she has married her son, she begs him to not continue his investigation, lest he find out himself:-â€Å"(white with terror) what does it matterWhat man he means? It makes no difference now†¦Forget what he has told you†¦ It makes no difference.†Oedipus then states that he will continue until he has unraveled the mystery of his birth, to which Jocasta replies:-â€Å"No! In God’s name – if you want to live, this questMust not go on. Have I not suffered enough?†Jocasta pleads with Oedipus to not continue his investigation, lest he ironically find out about his past. Unfortunately, Oedipus’ Hubris leads him to do so, and he eventually discovers the truth†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦giving to the audience the moral of the play: that no man can defeat the Gods’ will. At the start of the play, Oedipus the King is revered as â€Å"Oedipus, O greatest of men†. By the end of the play, the pity of all for Oe dipus the Beggar – â€Å"the man the deathless gods hate most of all† is summed up by the chorus: â€Å"I wish you had never known†. The basic theme of Oedipus Rex is the irony of fate: no mortal man, no matter how powerful and wealthy, can be pronounced happy until he is dead; for no man, however wise, knows what tomorrow will bring. In Oedipus Rex, the anagnorsis to Oedipus causes him to blind himself. The audience therefore pities him, and is positioned to do so through the use of irony. The use of irony in a play allows playwrights to make audiences want to see how the events occurring mentally affect the main character, even if they already are aware of the story, as shown in Oedipus Rex. Saving Private Ryan Essays (529 words) - Cinema Of The United States

Saving Private Ryan In critiquing Steven Spielberg's movie Saving Private Ryan, I realized that you can not base a move only on realism. A good movie has got to have some kind of character or formalism to carry the viewer through these realistic scenes. Spielberg not only uses these tools but also showed stereotyped images in his characters. In my critique I wish to point out some uses of realism, formalism, and stereotypes in the movie Saving Private Ryan. In my eyes Saving Private Ryan is a masterpiece. Even though the movie is nearly three hours in length, it is evenly distributed and takes on a powerful subject. Private Ryan wasn't merely another war movie, I really felt it caught the soul of war. The film begins with a half-hour sequence of the landings at Normandy on D-Day. Many films have portrayed this D-Day scene, but have failed to me in realism. In Private Ryan, realism portrayed in a nearly exact replica of war. To achieve this Steven Spielberg displayed the battle scenes, as the next step could be the moment of death. Limbs are blown off in mid-shot; guts splay out of uniforms and onto the sandy beach; soldier in mid-sentence are startled by bullet holes blossoming on their foreheads. Bloods sticks to the lens of the camera. In doing so Spielberg mastered the opening of Saving Private Ryan as far as realism. Roberts 2 The D-Day sequence actually has nothing to do with the story of Saving Private Ryan. Formalism kicks in when Miller and what's left of his small platoon receive orders to retrieve a private Ryan (Matt Damon) from somewhere on the forward line in France. Ryan's brothers have all died in combat in the last week, and General wants to pull the private back to the states, to spare Mrs. Ryan the heartbreak of having all of her boys killed in action. Never have I seen a documentary that made a box office hit solely on realism so I feel Spielberg's plot was well worth wild. Not only did I see realism and formalism in Saving Private Ryan but Spielberg's platoon of men consisted of the usual melting-pot collection of stereotypes. The loyal meat-and-potatoes sergeant, loudmouth Brooklyn-Irish critic, combat virgin, wisecracking Jew, big-hearted Italian, bible-quoting sharpshooter. Although, Tom Hanks goes against stereotype in this movie. Captains are usually portrayed as rock-hard and without emotion. In this movie, Tom Hanks shows a very caring and calm portrayal of a military captain. As a platoon movie, Saving Private Ryan is engrossing, with some sharply written conversation and brilliantly executed scenes of danger and violence. Although I feel this movie is reaching for a grander scale, as an attempt to make the war movie more realistic and less Hollywood-ized, Private Ryan is often shockingly effective. There are moments in this film where I thought, what was about to happen couldn't happen in a Hollywood movie, let alone a Steven Spielberg movie and then, unbelievably, it happens. All and all, I Roberts 3 loved every hour of Saving Private Ryan. Seeing this movie after a few Cinema Appreciation classes I seem to have caught things that would have other wise been looked over. Such as, realism, formalism, and stereotypes to which built a good foundation and created a good movie.

French Passive Voice †La voix passive

French Passive Voice - La voix passive Voice is a grammatical term which indicates the relationship between a subject and verb. There are three different voices in French and English. In the passive voice, the action described by the verb is being done to the subject by an agent, which is usually introduced by one of two prepositions:1. When the verb expresses an action, the agent is introduced by the preposition par:Active voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  David fait le mà ©nage.  Ã‚  Ã‚  David is doing the housework.Passive voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Le mà ©nage est fait par David.  Ã‚  Ã‚  The housework is done by David.Active voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Lise lit le livre.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Lise is reading the book.Passive voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Le livre est lu par Lise.  Ã‚  Ã‚  The book is read by Lise.2. When the verb expresses a state of being,  the agent is either introduced by de or left out entirely:Active voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Tout le monde le respecte.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Everyone respects him.Passive voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Il est respectà © de tout le monde.  Ã‚  Ã‚  He is respected by everyone.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Il est à ©minemment respectà ©.  Ã‚  Ã‚  He is highly respected.Active voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Mes amis aiment ma mà ¨re.   Ã‚  Ã‚  My friends love my mother.Passive voice  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ma mà ¨re est aimà ©e de mes amis.  Ã‚  Ã‚  My mother is loved by my friends. How to Conjugate the French Passive Voice The passive voice is formed with the conjugated verb  Ãƒ ªtre   the  past participle. The past participle has to agree with the subject, not the agent, in gender and number, just like  Ãƒ ªtre verbs  in the  passà © composà ©Ã‚  (more about agreement):  Ã‚  Ã‚  Le livre est à ©crit par des lycà ©ens.  Ã‚  Ã‚  The book is written by high schoolers.  Ã‚  Ã‚  La vaisselle est faite  par Henri.  Ã‚  Ã‚  The dishes are done by Henri.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Les enfants sont nourris  par Luc.  Ã‚  Ã‚  The kids are fed by Luc. To use the French passive voice in any other tense or mood, just conjugate  Ãƒ ªtre  accordingly: Active voice Passive voice prsent Anne fait la tarte.Anne makes the pie. La tarte est faite par Anne. The pie is made by Anne. pass compos Anne a fait la tarte.Anne made the pie. La tarte a t faite par Anne. The pie was made by Anne. imparfait Anne faisait la tarte.Anne was making the pie. La tarte tait faite par Anne. The pie was being made by Anne. futur Anne fera la tarte.Anne will make the pie. La tarte sera faite par Anne. The pie will be made by Anne. subjonctif Je veux quAnne fasse la tarte. I want Anne to make the pie. Je veux que la tarte soit faite par Anne.I want the pie to be made by Anne. How to Use  the French Passive Voice Now that you know about prepositions and agents and how to conjugate the passive voice, its on to more practical matters. The French passive voice may be used for two reasons:A)  To put more emphasis on the person or thing performing the action:Active:  Un enfant a à ©crit ce livre.  - A child wrote this book.Passive:  Ce livre a à ©tà © à ©crit par un enfant.  - This book was written by a child.B)  To focus on an action without identifying the performer:  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Jean a à ©crit ce livre.  - Jean wrote this book.  Ã‚  Ã‚  vs  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Il a à ©tà © à ©crit en 1927.  - It was written in 1927. How to Avoid the French Passive Voice The French passive voice has a slightly formal or  literary  tone and is used less frequently than in English. There are several alternatives to the passive voice (besides the active voice): A)  To focus on the performer, use  cest:  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ce livre a à ©tà © à ©crit par un enfant. Cest un enfant qui a à ©crit ce livre.  Ã‚  Ã‚  This book was written by a child. Its a child who wrote this book.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Le record a à ©tà © battu par une femme. Cest une femme qui a battu le record.  Ã‚  Ã‚  The record was beaten by a woman. Its a woman who beat the record.B)  To avoid identifying the performer, there are two options:  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  1.  On (impersonal subject pronoun)  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ce livre a à ©tà © à ©crit en 1927. On a à ©crit ce livre en 1927.  Ã‚  Ã‚  This book was written in 1927.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ils ont à ©tà © pardonnà ©s. On les a pardonnà ©s.  Ã‚  Ã‚  They have been excused.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  2.  Se (passive reflexive)  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ce livre est souvent lu. Ce livre se lit souvent.  Ã‚  Ã‚  This book is often read.  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Les mà »res ne sont pas vendues ici. Les mà »res ne se vendent pas ici.  Ã‚  Ã ‚  Blackberries arent sold here.
